“The Walking Dead” has added a new cast member in Margot Bingham but this won’t actually be her first appearance on the show…
Margot Bingham — best known for past roles in “New Amsterdam” and “Boardwalk Empire” — has been cast in season 11 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”
Now Bingham’s role is being kept under wraps but there’s a really good chance she will be playing a character named Stephanie, who fans will recognize as the other voice on the end of the line speaking to Eugene throughout season 10. Bingham had previously voiced Stephanie during the scenes when she was interacting with Eugene over Ham Radio.
When “The Walking Dead” season 10 came to an end, Eugene was leading a group of survivors to Charleston, West Virginia for a rendezvous with Stephanie. This introduction will likely lead to the Commonwealth, which is a massive settlement that served as a major turning point in the original comic books by Robert Kirkman.
As of now “The Walking Dead” remains on hiatus after the coronavirus pandemic shut down pre-production on season 11 filming in Atlanta. “The Walking Dead” season 10 finale was also delayed in post production and that stand alone episode will air on AMC later this year.
Right now, there’s still no word when season 11 will debut but given the delays in production, it’s likely the show won’t return until 2021.
