As ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 comes to a close we get our first hint about season 8…
For those who have been avid readers of ‘The Walking Dead’ comic book, the close of season 7 brings about a very crucial story from the source material known as “All Out War”.
It’s a particularly important story that finally pits Rick and the survivors from all of the communities — Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom — against Negan and the Saviors.
While ‘The Walking Dead’ season 8 won’t start filming until this summer, show runner Scott M. Gimple gave a very brief hint about what’s to come when speaking on ‘Talking Dead’ on Sunday night.
“Every year you ask me that question, not specifically about season 8, but I don’t recognize seasons anymore. I say it’s going to be bigger, it’s going to be more intense, I say these things and I’ve meant them every year and I think we’ve actually accomplished that. This year same thing,” Gimple said.
“More intense. The first four episodes will melt people’s minds and break their televisions.”
It’s impossible to anticipate how closely the show will follow the comics but “All Out War” was an iconic part of ‘The Walking Dead’ and it’s likely that will fill up the entirety of season 8 when the show returns in October.
Judging by the bloodshed and body count in ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 finale, it would certainly appear that things are about to get even deadlier over the next 16 episodes.
‘The Walking Dead’ returns with brand new episodes in October.
