Scott Wilson has died at the age of 78.
The veteran actor best known for his role as Hershel Greene on ‘The Walking Dead’ passed away on Friday.

Wilson started his career back in 1967 with a role in the film ‘In the Heat of the Night’ and he remained a very busy working actor for the next 50 years.
Wilson starred in numerous films and television series over the years but his best known role came in 2011 when he was cast in ‘The Walking Dead’ where he joined season 2 as Hershel Green, a key character from the comic books the series was based on.
Wilson appeared in several seasons of the show before his character died but he remained busy after his role on ‘The Walking Dead’ came to an end.
Most recently, Wilson starred in the Netflix series ‘The OA’, where he filmed his part for season 2 that still hasn’t been released yet.
Just this weekend at New York Comic Con, Wilson was confirmed to return to ‘The Walking Dead’ during season 9 for a special appearance in what will be Andrew Lincoln’s final season with the show.
