It turns out there is a crossover planned between ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ in the future…
When ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ first launched in 2015, the show’s creators promised that the spinoff series would stand alone separate from ‘The Walking Dead’.
Well it appears those plans have changed.
Robert Kirkman — the creator of ‘The Walking Dead’ — broke the news on Saturday during New York Comic Con that the two shows will crossover with one character making the move between series but he wouldn’t expand any further than that.
“We want these shows to have their own legs, tell their own stories and be their own thing and I think we’ve finally gotten to a place with ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ where it has its own identity where, you know, we can play with some things,” Kirkman said.
“What I will say is — and this is all I’m going to say — is that there are two ‘Walking Dead’ shows. There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, and appear in the other show, which I will not name.”
‘Fear the Walking Dead’ is currently airing the second half of season three on Sunday night with ‘The Walking Dead’ season 8 set to debut on October 22.
It’s impossible to know for certain which character will crossover, but ‘The Walking Dead’ has always been ahead of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ in terms of the timeline between the two series. That means it would be more likely that a character from ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ could eventually show up on ‘The Walking Dead’ but again that’s all speculation at this point.
For now let the guessing games begin as we wait to find out which character will be moving between ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Fear the Walking Dead’.
