Todd Phillips has revealed the first look at Joaquin Phoenix in his Joker makeup as filming on the upcoming film is underway…
The upcoming ‘Joker’ standalone movie still remains largely shrouded in mystery outside of a few details that have been revealed about the upcoming film from director Todd Phillips and actor Joaquin Phoenix.
After unveiling a photo of Phoenix as ‘Arthur’ a few days ago, the director has now released a video that shows his transformation from a failed comic into the Clown Prince of Crime known as the Joker. See the photo below and then the video from Phillips’ Instagram beneath that.
Now there’s no telling if this makeup is the final look of the Joker after his final transformation or if this is just something he might be wearing during the movie before the character finally dissolves into madness.
What’s known about the movie thus far is this — Arthur Fleck is a failed comic who eventually succumbs to his own insanity before transforming into the psychopathic clown who will go onto to torture Batman as his greatest villain.

‘Joker’ is currently filming with the release date for the movie set for October 4, 2019.
