The cast for ‘True Detective’ season 3 is beginning to fill out with stars from ‘Justice League’ and ‘The Purge’ joining the show…
The cast list for ‘True Detective’ season 3 is beginning to fill up.
With Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy and Mamie Gummer already set for featured roles on the series, a few more cast members have now been added.
Rhys Wakefield, best known for his role in ‘The Purge’, will join the show as a series regular playing ‘Freddy Burns’, who is described as a guy “whose ambitions are limited by the world around him.”
Also joining the cast will be Ray Fisher, who is fresh off his role as Cyborg in ‘Justice League’, and he will be playing a character named Henry Hays, although not much is known about him at this time.
Michael Greyeyes from ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ and Jon Tenney from ‘The Closer’ have also joined ‘True Detective’ season 3 in supporting roles.
‘True Detective’ season 3 will be headed up by series creator Nic Pizzolatto, who wrote the entire season by himself minus one episode he co-wrote with ‘Deadwood’ creator David Milch, who also served as a consultant on the series.
‘True Detective’ season 3 follows a macabre crime that takes place in the heart of the Ozarks with a mystery that stretches over three time periods on the show.
There’s no word yet when ‘True Detective’ season 3 will debut but with casting heating up it’s likely that the show will go into production sometime in the spring or early summer.
