“A Quiet Place: Part II” gave a brief look at the day that the world changed forever when a horde of sound-seeking aliens landed on Earth and effectively destroyed anything and everything in their path. Now the latest spinoff set in the same universe will take a deeper dive on how people were forced to survive in those first few harrowing hours and days.
“A Quiet Place: Day One” steps away from the Abbott family that was featured in the first two films and instead turns the attention to a new group of survivors that includes Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and “Stranger Things” star Joseph Quinn .
The trailer shows the bright flashes streaking across the sky as meteors rain down upon the Earth and then moments later the terrifying creatures emerge, laying waste to everything in their path. It doesn’t take some people long to realize these creatures are blind but sound-seeking, which means staying absolutely silent is the only way to survive.
The cast for “A Quiet Place: Day One” also includes Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou with the film set for release on June 28.
