A great war is coming in the new “Dune: Part Two” trailer that debuted on Tuesday.
The highly anticipated sequel due out on March 1 will continue the story told in “Dune: Part One” as Paul Atreides takes up his new role as a leader and savior while also seeking revenge on those who sought to destroy his family and the people responsible for killing his father.
Here’s the official synopsis for “Dune: Part Two”
“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

“Dune: Part Two” was originally scheduled for release in December but the date was pushed back due to the actors and writers’ strikes. Now the film is set to land in theaters on March 1 with director Denis Villeneuve confirming recently that he’s already started to work on a script for a third film in what he hopes will end up as a “Dune” trilogy.
