“Manifest” will return for a fourth and super-sized final season at Netflix with the first clip from the show’s return this fall on Netflix…
The first look at the fourth and final season of “Manifest” has arrived after Netflix rescued the show following an abrupt cancellation at Netflix after the end of the third season.
“Manifest” — created by Jeff Rake — had been a solid performer for NBC through three seasons but just after the final episode aired, the network cancelled the series without any warning. Fans immediately started a campaign to save the show but it appeared for a time that “Manifest” was dead and buried.
But following huge streaming numbers on Netflix, the streaming service decided to rescue “Manifest” with a super-sized fourth and final season containing 20 episodes that would allow the show to reach a real conclusion.
The final season will be split into two parts at 10 episodes each with the first installment arriving this fall on Netflix. The first clip for the upcoming season debuted on Monday with a brief look at what lies ahead for the show.
Here’s the synopsis for the final season of “Manifest” per Netflix:
“When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years — and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance.
“But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible in this emotionally rich, unexpected journey into a world grounded in hope, heart, and destiny.”
