Get a first look at Marvel’s “Eternals” from Oscar winning director Chloe Zhao as a group of immortal beings decide to finally interfere with humanity…
The first look at one of Marvel’s biggest and newest franchise films “Eternals” has finally arrived.
Oscar winning director Chloe Zhao led this film, which was originally scheduled for release in November 2020 until the global pandemic forced every Marvel movie to get pushed back to a later date. Now “Eternals” will arrives on November 5 and the first trailer teases a new set of characters that even the most hardcore comic book fans might not recognize.
The Eternals are actually a group of immortal beings created by the Celestials, who have observed and influenced humanity on Earth for thousands of years. While the group exerts influence by helping humans make discoveries and other ways to push evolution along, the Eternals never actually interfere with humanity or its choices … until now.
As the trailer teases, some kind of event has forced the Eternals to mount up and prepare for action in the wake of what unfolded during “Avengers: Endgame.”
In the comics, the Eternals’ counterpart are a group of hideous beings known as the Deviants and by all accounts, they will become the primary antagonists in this film as well but to what end remains unclear.
The trailer really doesn’t give away too much other than getting a first look at this massive cast in action for the first time. The cast includes Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as the love of his life, Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as the Eternals’ leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.
You’ll also spot “Game of Thrones” alum Kit Harington make a brief appearance in the trailer as he portrays Dane Whitman, who eventually becomes the hero known as the Black Knight.
The end of the trailer features the Eternals having dinner together and discussing who will lead the Avengers now that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are gone. Ikaris suggests that perhaps he could lead them, which leads to the team having a laugh at his expense.
Check out the new trailer for “Eternals” and get ready for a bigger, full length trailer coming soon that will undoubtedly reveal at least some of the plot at the heart of this highly anticipated movie.
