The new “Thor: Love and Thunder” trailer has arrived with Jane Foster showing off as a new Thor while Christian Bale debuts as Gorr the God Butcher…
“The only ones who gods care about is themselves. So this is my vow … all gods will die.”
That’s the warning from Gorr the God Butcher in the new trailer for “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which dropped on Monday night.
Of course, former Batman Christian Bale will crossover to the Marvel Cinematic Universe where he will portray the villainous Gorr while going up against Thor and his new partner — The Mighty Thor, who just so happens to be his ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster.
The trailer gives a deeper look at what to expect as Thor is understandably shocked to not only see Jane as his female counterpart but that she’s also commanding Mjolnir — the mighty hammer that once only flew to his worthy hand.
Of course, both Thor’s will have their hands full with Gorr seeking to kill all of the gods with a powerful sword that allows him to cut them down one by one.
The footage also reveals Russel Crowe as Zeus for the first time along with plenty of familiar faces including Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Taika Waititi voicing the always enjoyable Korg with the Guardians of the Galaxy — Chris Pratt and several others — also appearing in the film.
