“Saw X” has unveiled a hilarious parody video that mimics the iconic “We Come to This Place” introduction from Nicole Kidman at AMC Theaters…
“Somehow, self-amputation feels good in a place like this.”
That’s the closing line to a new parody video from “Saw X” that mimics the infamous introduction from actress NIcole Kidman ahead of every film that runs at AMC Theaters.
Kidman’s video where she walks into a theater after uttering the words “we come to this place” has become so iconic that people have even started dressing up as her for Halloween.
Now Billy the Puppet — the ultra-creepy doll from the “Saw” universe — takes its own stab at the same video to help tease the upcoming “Saw X” film due out on September 29.
It’s a pretty genius idea as Billy says “We come to this place for a reawakening. We come to the theaters to scream, to beg, to play …” and leading all the way to the conclusion where the puppet mentions self-mutilation — a staple of the “Saw” franchise.
The upcoming “Saw X” film will see Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) return to the franchise alongside his protege Amanda (Shawnee Smith) for a sequel/prequel that takes place between the events in the original “Saw” and “Saw II.” Here’s the synopsis for the film from Lionsgate:
“The most chilling installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.”
Get ready for “Saw X” on Sept. 29 but for now enjoy this hilarious parody video that AMC might want to consider running at least through Halloween.
