The new full length trailer for the upcoming film “Spiral: From the Book of Saw” shows Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson hunting down a copycat Jigsaw killer…
Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson will play father and son in the new film “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” which carries on the iconic legacy of the “Saw” franchise with a new take on the horror classic.
A new trailer for the film dropped this week that shows Rock and Jackson on the hunt for a copycat Jigsaw killer, who is carrying out the same gruesome murders that were committed by the infamous serial killer years earlier.
Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
“A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of Saw. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.”
A fan of the entire “Saw” franchise, Rock wanted to get involved in an updated take on the horror classic while starring in the film, which also stars Jackson in the co-lead role.
With movie theaters opening back up across the country, “Spiral” will be one of the first major films expected to bring movie goers back with the film opening up on May 14.
