The first look at “Stranger Things” season 4 has arrived with a new teaser and some images from the series that will return in 2022….
If it feels like forever since “Stranger Things” season 3 ended, you’re not wrong but season 4 is finally set to debut in 2022.
On Friday, Netflix released a new teaser with a brief glimpse at what lies ahead in season 4 when the show returns in 2022, although no specific release date was unveiled just yet. The teaser goes back in time before going forward with a few clips from the upcoming season of the show.
When “Stranger Things” season 3 ended, the monsters from the upside down had been defeated once again but Eleven was left without her powers and Jim Hopper was supposedly dead after sacrificing himself to close the portal between two worlds.
Of course, Hopper isn’t actually dead — he’s been held prisoner in Russia at a secret facility where experiments are taking place including a new Demogorgon being bred and raised for some nefarious purpose. There’s a quick look at Hopper in the new trailer wielding a flamethrower so that certainly looks interesting.
As for Eleven, she left Hawkins along with the rest of the Byers family after Joyce decided to move her kids to a new home to leave the insanity that had been haunting them behind.
Will she get her powers back? That remains to be seen but there are echoes of a voice belonging to Dr. Martin Brenner at the start of the teaser, which once again hints at his return to the show after last being seen in season 1.
Along with the trailer, there were a few images released as well and you can take a look at those below to get excited about “Stranger Things” season 4 coming in 2022!
