The first trailer for “The Book of Boba Fett” has arrived as the infamous bounty hunter seeks to control an underworld criminal empire once ruled by Jabba the Hutt…
There’s a new kingpin on Tatooine and his name is Boba Fett.
As first teased in “The Mandalorian” season 2 finale, the infamous bounty hunter has now taking over the criminal empire once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and now he’ll look to solidify his claim in the new series “The Book of Boba Fett,” which arrives on Disney+ on December 29.
The new series comes from “Star Wars” guru Dave Filoni and “The Mandalorian” creator and showrunner Jon Favreau as they continue the story that started with Boba Fett’s return after he was believed dead during the events in “Return of the Jedi.”
The series stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen, who both reprise their roles from “The Mandalorian.”
This time around, Boba Fett has teamed up with fellow mercenary Fennec Shand as they navigate the underworld on Tattooine — Luke Skywalker’s home planet — and it’s safe to say they’ll run into more than a few roadblocks along the way. Here’s the official synopsis for the series from Lucasfilm:
“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”
The new trailer teases the battle that Boba Fett and his right hand will face in attempting to secure their position over Jabba’s former empire now that he’s been gone for a few years.
