“The Boys” season 4 trailer reveals the United States at the brink of another civil war as Homelander continues to amass his power and take one more step towards the White House…
The first look at “The Boys” season 4 has arrived and a second U.S. Civil War appears closer than ever.
When “The Boys” season 3 ended, Homelander finally got his son back after going to battle against several foes including Maeve and Soldier Boy, who was revealed to be his father. In the end, Homelander got his son back and he ended up killing a rowdy protester that actually earned him cheers from a raucous crowd backing him up.
Meanwhile, Billy Butcher’s desire to take down Homelander and the rest of the Supes will cost him his life after he got addicted to a temporary version of Compound-V that gave him powers but at a deadly cost. His constant lies and deceit ended up getting him ousted from The Boys while Starlight has now officially joined the group alongside her boyfriend, Hughie.
And then there’s Congresswoman Victoria Neuman, who is now on the ticket as vice president, with a chance to cement her own power inside the White House. Of course, Neuman is operating under Homelander’s direction so her power will ultimately give him more power as well.
Oh and we also get our first look at a new character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who joins the cast of “The Boys” season 4.
Here’s the official synopsis for “The Boys” season 4 from Amazon Prime:
“The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
There’s no word yet when “The Boys” season 4 will debut but it will happen sometime in 2024 with production already wrapped before the writers and actors’ strikes were enacted.
