Get a look at the first full length trailer for “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” ahead of the series debut on Disney+ in March…
Carrying on the legacy left behind by Captain America won’t be easy.
That’s evident by the uneasy partnership formed between Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in the new series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” which now has a release date on March 19 on Disney+.
The first full length trailer debuted on Sunday, which featured Sam and Bucky going through some sort of counseling together as they attempt to team up in order to stop another threat coming for them in the wake of the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Of course the conclusion of that movie saw Cap pass on his shield to Sam after he officially retired by staying in the past to grow old with the love of his life, Peggy Carter. Now Sam as Falcon and Cap’s best friend Bucky have to find a way to work together when Baron Zemo once against surfaces in an attempt to wipe out all superheroes on Earth.
Baron Zemo first appeared in “Captain America: Civil War” when it was revealed that he was the mastermind behind pitting Iron Man against the Winter Soldier and by extension Captain America as he sought to tear the Avengers apart following the destruction of his home country Sokovia, which cost the lives of his family, during “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Now Baron Zemo is back and he’s seeking to destroy all heroes who returned to Earth after the Avengers managed to stop Thanos once and for all.
There’s also an interesting tease in this trailer that seems to confirm rumors that U.S. Agent — a government funded replacement for Captain America — will also appear in the upcoming season of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
Sharon Carter aka Agent 13 also appears in the trailer as she continues to work in covert operations after S.H.I.E.L.D. was completely dismantled.
