Two of “The Walking Dead” spinoffs have been renewed for second seasons with “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon” returning for more…
“The Walking Dead” will continue with a pair of limited series extending out for a second season.
“The Walking Dead: Dead City” — the six-episode spinoff starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan — will return for a second season ahead of the inaugural season final, which airs on Sunday on AMC.
Meanwhile, “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” which is slated to debut on AMC on September 10, has already been renewed for season 2 ahead of the series premiere. Norman Reedus reprises his role as Daryl Dixon for the series, which actually take place in Paris, France where much of the show was also filmed.
Both shows are extensions of “The Walking Dead” series that came to an end this past year after 11 seasons. While the main show has ended, “The Walking Dead” universe continues with these two series already set to continue into a second season.
In addition to the news about season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” the first trailer for the show was also released after debuting at San Diego Comic Con on Friday. Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming series:
“Daryl (Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”
