“The Walking Dead” will return with six bonus episodes for season 10 and a new extended trailer has been released to tease what lies ahead…
“The Walking Dead” season 10 may have finished last year but six bonus episodes will debut on AMC starting on Sunday night, February 28.
The new episodes won’t change anything that unfolded during season 10 but rather add to the overall story that happened as the survivors fought back against the Whisperers with the finale also featuring the return of Maggie Rhee.
The new extended trailer released on Thursday showcases Maggie’s reunion (Lauren Cohan) with her friends after she decided to leave the community in hopes of helping to begin rebuilding society while also escaping the past where she was still haunted by Glenn’s death at the hands of Negan.
The trailer shows off Maggie and Glenn’s son, Hershel, who has grown up quite a bit over the past few years. Of course her return is also conflicted thanks to Negan still being very much alive and that’s going to require some tough answers from mother to son.
“He asked how his daddy died. I told him a bad man killed him. And he wanted to know if that man got what he deserved.”
~ Maggie
Elsewhere in the trailer, Negan makes his return to form in what appears to be a flashback sequence as he builds Lucille for the first time.
It was previously announced that Hilarie Burton — Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s real wife — would be playing Negan’s wife Lucille during one of the six episodes. She died before the zombie apocalypse started and Negan later named his barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat after her, which is another reason he’s so possessive of that weapon during the series.
