Check out the new trailer for “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” as Eddie Brock meets his match with a serial killer attached to a symbiote…
The first trailer for “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” arrived on Monday — the sequel to the original film from 2018 — and this time around it looks like Eddie Brock has found a happy home with the creature living inside of him.
The three-minute clip of the movie opens with a rather cheerful look at the day-to-day relationship between Eddie and the alien symbiote that merged itself with his body in the previous film. Now these two are like best friends, cooking breakfast together and even visiting the local corner store for snacks.
Of course the “Venom” sequel will also return to prison, which was previously featured in a post credits scene in the original movie, where we meet serial killer Cletus Kasady as played by Woody Harrelson (thankfully with a much better wig this time around).
It appears that Eddie is doing an investigation into Cletus Kasady and his many crimes, which he pays for in the trailer by being electrocuted except for one problem — he doesn’t die.
Instead, Cletus is reborn as the villainous Carnage after he gets attacked to an even more vile and violent symbiote of his own.
What ensues next is well … carnage … as the two creatures battle it out with only one possibly surviving.
Check out the new trailer for “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” ahead of the film’s release on September 24 in theaters everywhere.
