The long awaited first look at “Westworld” season 4 has arrived with a teaser trailer that shows the return of Dolores along with the debut date set in June…
It’s been over two years since “Westworld” season 3 ended but a first look at season 4 has finally arrived along with the surprise news that she show will return on HBO on Sunday night, June 26.
A new teaser trailer dropped on Monday set the sounds of the song “Perfect Day” by Lou Reed with striking images featuring many of the characters throughout “Westworld.”
When the show ended with season 3, Dolores had enacted her ultimate plan to give free will back to humanity in hopes that she could make a better world where mankind and hosts could eventually learn to co-exist together. Of course, she didn’t anticipate one of her clones developing a mind of their own after her Charlotte Hale copy saw the true ugliness of humanity and decided that every person on Earth needed to be stamped out.
In an ultimate act of villainy, Charlotte ended up killing William aka The Man in Black and introducing an exactly replica she made of him in a host body, who now serves at her beck and call.
Meanwhile, Caleb — Dolores’ appointed leader — along with Maeve are determined to carry out her plans to save humanity from itself after they helped to destroy the super computer that was effectively pre-determining the fates of every person in the world.
Sadly, Dolores had to give her life during the season 3 finale when her entire memory bank was eradicated but she shows up in the season 4 trailer very much alive — what version we’re getting remains to be seen.
