A deeper look at “Yellowjackets” season 2 has arrived with a first look at an adult Lottie and Elijah Wood’s citizen detective…
“Kidnapping, cults, death. Your friendships are a little more complicated than most.”
That’s courtesy of Elijah Wood’s new character joining the cast for “Yellowjackets” season 2, which debuts on streaming on demand for Showtime subscribers on March 24 before arriving on Showtime on Sunday night, March 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The new teaser trailer released on Friday gives a first look at an adult Lottie (played by Simone Kessell) as she questions Natalie, who was just about to commit suicide at the end of season 1 before she was interrupted and kidnapped by followers belonging to Lottie. What exactly Lottie has in store for her former soccer teammate and survival companion remains to be seen.
There are a lot of questions that have to be answered when “Yellowjackets” season 2 continues because there were more than a few cliffhangers at the conclusion of season 1. Plus the new season will obviously be traveling back in time 25 years to continue following the girls’ soccer team attempting to survive the wilderness after their plane crashed on the way to a game.
We got plenty of terrifying moments during that first season — including the tragic deaths of both Jackie and Laura Lee — but it appears that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what they dealt with while attempting to survive before eventually being rescued.
As Nat says in the trailer there was a darkness in that wilderness — “and we brought it back with us.”
Take a look at the new teaser trailer and gear up for “Yellowjackets” season 2, which arrives on March 24 on Showtime streaming services before the official debut on March 26 on Showtime.
