The full trailer for Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” has arrived ahead of the March 18 release date and there’s a lot to unpack from this video…
The long wait to see the “Snyder Cut” is almost over and now there’s a trailer to go along with the upcoming release of “Justice League.”
With the four-hour cut of the film set for release on HBO Max on March 18, a new full length trailer has arrived with plenty of new footage from the new version of the movie from director Zack Snyder.
Here’s the synopsis for the movie from Warner Bros
In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
Snyder has promised that nothing director Joss Whedon shot after taking over for him following a family tragedy would make it into his new version of the film. Snyder was also granted approximately an extra $70 million to add effects and shoot new scenes for his version of the movie, which includes Jared Leto returning as the Joker for a nightmare sequence alongside Ben Affleck’s Batman.
Of course unlike the version of “Justice League” that released in theaters in 2017, the new version will feature Darkseid prominently as he sends his army to Earth to retrieve the Mother boxes following the death of Superman. There were hints of Darkseid in the original “Justice League” movie but this time one of DC Comics’ most infamous villains is front and center in the trailer.
Henry Cavill also returns as Superman and there’s plenty of him in this trailer as well as he returns to life to help the rest of the Justice League as they battle Darkseid’s acolyte Steppenwolf.
There’s plenty to unpack in this trailer so check out the video ahead of Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” when it drops on HBO Max on March 18.
