“Westworld” will return sooner than some expected with the award-winning series set to come back to HBO in March…

“Westworld” is back.

The third season of the award winning series will return to HBO on Sunday night, March 15 at 9 p.m. ET.

It’s been more than a year since “Westworld” season 2 came to a close with Dolores orchestrating her escape from the park following a long, winding road that explained the investigation into the uprising that saw many of the hosts turn against the humans running the place.

Much like previous installments, “Westworld” season 3 is shrouded in mystery but we do know at least part of this upcoming season will involve more life outside the park. That said, the park will still play a major role in the upcoming season ahead.

In addition to regular cast members coming back including — Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Emmy winner Thandie Newton as Maeve, Ed Harris as Man in Black, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, Simon Quarterman as Lee Sizemore and Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton, there will be several new additions this season.

Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad,” “Bojack Horseman”), Vincent Cassel (“Black Swan”), Lena Waithe (HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” “Master of None”), Scott Mescudi (HBO’s upcoming “We Are Who We Are”), Marshawn Lynch (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), John Gallagher Jr. (HBO’s “The Newsroom” and “Olive Kitteridge”), Michael Ealy (“Stumptown”) and Tommy Flanagan (“Sons of Anarchy”) will all bee joining the series for season 3.

The season 3 announcement came along with a teaser video, which you can watch above. It’s likely that a new “Westworld” trailer will arrive sometime soon, perhaps even on Super Bowl weekend, which has become a hot spot for major films and television shows in recent years.

Keep a close eye on the dates in the video, which seem to confirm a possible timeline for when “Westworld” is actually taking place in the future.

Take a look at the teaser video and get ready for “Westworld” season 3 when the show returns on March 15.
