Jason Aaron’s critically acclaimed comic book titled ‘Scalped’ will be developed in a new TV series at WGN America with ‘Banshee’ writer Doug Jung leading the staff for the first script and the pilot episode.
The 60-issue series was described as ‘The Sopranos on an Indian reservation’ with an undercover FBI agent trying to infiltrate a world of guns, drugs and other crimes taking place on the Oglala Lakota Prairie Rose Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
Now WGN America — new to the scripted television business — will launch into ‘Scalped’ as one of their newest series.
