“Yellowstone” season 4 will officially debut in November with plans to see two more Taylor Sheridan created series get premiere dates as well…
Who lived and who died?
Those questions will be answered in the “Yellowstone” season 4 debut on Sunday night, November 7 with a special two-episode premiere on the Paramount Network.
A new teaser for the upcoming season was released on Thursday along with the date for the hugely popular series to return.
The end of “Yellowstone” season 3 saw almost the entire Dutton family in peril after patriarch John Dutton was gunned down on the side of the rode while his daughter Beth was the victim of a bombing in her office. Meanwhile, Kayce Dutton was attacked by gunmen at his office and the season finale closed without any revelation which of them actually survived those harrowing encounters.
“Yellowstone” has been a massive hit for the Paramount Network and it’s expected that season 4 will receive plenty of attention as well when the show returns with two-episodes on Nov. 7 followed by one-hour episodes during each subsequent Sunday night.
In addition to the return of “Yellowstone,” the debut dates for two more shows from creator Taylor Sheridan were also revealed on Thursday.
The “Yellowstone” prequel “1883” — starring Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Sam Elliott — that tells the tale about how the Dutton family made the journey from Texas to Montana where they founded the largest ranch in the United States will debut on Sunday night December 19.
The first episode of “1883” will air directly after “Yellowstone” on the Paramount Network with the rest of the series airing exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service.
The other series titled “Mayor of Kingstown,” which stars Jeremy Renner as the head of the McLusky family — a powerful and influential bunch running for-profit prisons in Michigan — with Dianne Wiest, Hugh Dillon, Pha’rez Lass, Tobi Bamtefa, Emma Laird, Derek Webster and Taylor Handley also set to appear in the series.
“Mayor of Kingstown” will debut on Sunday night, November 14 following “Yellowstone” on the Paramount Network before then shifting over to Paramount+ for the remainder of the season.
“Our strategy is to make Yellowstone, the massive No. 1 hit with more than 10 million fans, into a global hit franchise under the incredible creative vision of Taylor Sheridan’s world-building storytelling,” Chris McCarthy, President and CEO, MTV Entertainment said in a statement
“These new series will debut on Paramount+ and have special premiere day sneak episodes behind Yellowstone introducing this huge audience to these new stories, allowing us to leverage our linear platforms to fuel the growth of Paramount+ which will stream each series exclusively after episode two.”
Viacom has made a major investment in Sheridan after inking him to a long-term deal with the studio to begin developing numerous series following the immense success of “Yellowstone.”
The “Yellowstone” prequel “1883” and “Mayor of Kingstown” will be his first projects with the studio since signing the deal with Sheridan remaining one of the busiest people in all of Hollywood.
