The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus Teams Up with Creator Robert Kirkman on New Film Project

Norman Reedus from ‘The Walking Dead’ will team up with show and comic book creator Robert Kirkman on a new science fiction thriller…

Norman Reedus has signed on to star in a new movie titled ‘Air‘, which will be produced by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. The project will also add two-time Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou as the co-star alongside Reedus.

The script for the movie was written by Christian Cantamessa, who was a designer and writer for video games such as Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on the plot of the upcoming movie:

“The story is set in an underground cryogenic facility after a nuclear fall-out renders the atmosphere unbreathable. Air centers on its two custodial workers (Reedus, Hounsou) who take care of the cryogenically sleeping personnel that are to re-establish society but they struggle to preserve their own sanity and lives while maintaining the extremely fragile environment of the last livable place on earth.”

Sony Pictures Worldwide is in the final stages of acquiring the project for distribution.
