The 2014 Emmy nominations were released on Thursday with ‘Game of Thrones’ landing 19 nominations to lead all categories with ‘Fargo’ coming in with the second most of any show….
The 2014 Emmy nominations have been released with a huge list of contenders in all the major drama and comedic categories and once again HBO leads the way for all networks with ‘Game of Thrones’ at the top of the list.
HBO received a whopping 99 nominations — way ahead of CBS who had the second most nominations with 47. FX also came in with 45 nominations for series such as ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ and ‘Fargo’ while the most popular show on the networks, ‘Sons of Anarchy’ was snubbed yet again without an actor, actress or series nomination at the Emmys.
‘Game of Thrones’ led all TV shows with 19 nominations overall including a nod in the best drama category while ‘Fargo’ came away with 18 nominations and ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ coming in third with 17 nods. HBO’S freshman series ‘True Detective’ also walked away with 12 nominations including lead actor nods for both Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
