Imagine a world of ’24’ where Jack Bauer isn’t the one saving the day. That’s the plan for the ’24’ spinoff series currently in development at FOX…
The words ’24’ and ‘Jack Bauer’ are synonymous with one another, but if the new spinoff series currently in development at FOX gets picked up to series, they may no longer be associated together.
Current plans for a ’24’ spinoff are in the works at FOX with a new ’20-something’ male protagonist taking over for Kiefer Sutherland in the proposed series.
According to ’24’ executive producer Howard Gordon, the plan would be to team up the new actor with an older, more seasoned female agent (not played by Yvonne Strahovski) in a limited series similar to last year’s ’24: Live Another Day’.
As of now, Kiefer Sutherland is not on board for the series but there is a possibility he could appear in a recurring or guest appearance role if the show gets picked up.
Everything else about the series would take place in the traditional ’24’ real time format just like the popular series that ran for eight seasons plus the recent limited event series on FOX.
If all goes well with the new ’24’ spinoff, the series could get picked up long term at FOX as well.
