The first Preacher trailer has arrived with a look at the cult comic book favorite now coming to life as a new series on AMC…
One of the most highly anticipated new shows for 2016 will be the adaptation of the popular Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon comic book titled Preacher from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
The story follows a disenchanted preacher named Jesse Custer, who is merged with a supernatural creature called Genesis — a being that possesses both the powers of an angel and a demon — but following its creation God abandons his throne and leaves heaven unguarded.
So along with his vampire friend Cassidy and his gun-toting ex Tulip, Jesse goes on a search to find God. Literally.
The new series stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, and Joseph Gilgun in the lead roles with the 10-episode first season debuting on AMC in 2016.
