The classic Swedish vampire story ‘Let the Right One In’ is being adapted for a new series at TNT….

‘Let the Right One In’ — the 2004 novel that was eventually adapted into a 2008 film — has been picked up for a pilot order at TNT with ‘Teen Wolf’ show runner Jeff Davis on board to head up the project.

Davis will finish up his run on ‘Teen Wolf’ after six seasons on MTV after it was announced at San Diego Comic Con that the show was officially coming to an end this year.

‘Let the Right One In’ follows the story of a constantly bullied young boy named Oskar, who befriends a new girl in his apartment building named Eli, who is actually an ancient vampire feeding on victims all around the town where they both live.

“‘Let the Right One In’ combines elements of horror, revenge thriller and adolescent romance into an unforgettable and truly unsettling tale,” said Sarah Aubrey, original programming executive for TNT. “This novel is a watershed of rich storytelling, making it an abundant source from which Jeff, Marty, Becky and Simon will bring to life in this all-new adaptation.”

The film adaptation directed by Tomas Alfredson was a critical hit and was nominated for several awards around its release. An American version of the film titled ‘Let Me In’ was also adapted by director Matthew Reeves and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Grace Moretz.
