‘American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy has long teased that all of the seasons of his long running anthology series on FX are connected.
Now he’s really doubling down on that fact with a planned ‘American Horror Story’ season that will crossover characters from season one — typically referred to as ‘Murder House’ — with season three known as ‘Coven’.
“We do know what we’re going to do,” Murphy revealed at EW Pop Fest. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.
“I’ve [already] started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, ‘I think in this window, if you could fit us in,’. So yeah, it’s fun. It’s weird.”
Murphy already teased earlier this year that he planned to revisit ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ after revealing that Lady Gaga’s character from the current season of the show titled ‘Roanoke’ is connected to season three because she’s the first ever ‘Supreme’ — the most powerful witch on the planet who leads her coven.
Now Murphy is adding another wrinkle to the story by somehow tying it back into the first season of ‘American Horror Story’ that saw characters played by Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Taissa Farmiga move into a haunted house that traps you there forever if you die inside those four walls.
Murphy didn’t give a timeline for the crossover season other than saying it won’t be season 7, which is expected to air on FX in 2017.
