Ryan Reynolds is holding out hope for a tag team movie with ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Wolverine’…
There’s some good news and bad news for fans of ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Wolverine’.
Let’s start with the bad news — despite rumors that Ryan Reynolds had filmed a scene as Deadpool for the upcoming ‘Logan’ film, which takes place in a not too distant dystopian future where mutants are nearly wiped out and Professor X is nearing his end, it seems that is not happening.
Reynolds shot down that recent report on Twitter but also dropped his real wish list, which is to put Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together, just not ‘Logan’.
No. I want a Deadpool/Wolvie film. But Logan is its own unique & perfect thing. The Big Red Shit-Talker wouldn't mix with the tone. https://t.co/35WpEJLJ10

‘Logan’ is expected to be Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as Wolverine after first debuting as the character more than 15 years ago in 2000’s ‘X-Men’ film.
Considering how much money ‘Deadpool’ raked in at the box office and the sequel as one of the most anticipated films over the next two years, it’s impossible to think that Jackman wouldn’t at least consider reprising the role one more time to appear in a future movie alongside Reynolds.
In the comics, Deadpool and Wolverine have a long history together throughout numerous story arcs so putting them together in a movie — other than ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ — would be a very welcome idea for fans.
Whether or not it happens remains to be seen but Reynolds is at least on the record that he wants to do it and that’s always the first step in making something turn to reality.
