The lead role for the new ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff titled ‘Mayans MC’ has finally been cast…
The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff has found its leading man.
JD Pardo — best known for his roles in ‘Revolution’, ‘East Los High’ and ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt 2’ — has been cast in the lead role for the upcoming ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff currently titled ‘Mayans MC’.
The new spinoff series takes place following the events of the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ finale and focuses on the Mayans motorcycle club, an adversary and eventual friend to the Sons of Anarchy club in the original series.
Pardo will play EZ Reyes — “a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California/Mexico border who struggles with his desire for vengeance against the cartel as well as his need for respect from the women he loves.”
Pardo is the latest addition to the growing cast with the pilot for the series expected to be filmed in March under the supervision of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator Kurt Sutter.
Currently, ‘Mayans MC’ has only been picked up to pilot by FX but based on the strength of that first episode, the network could give a full series order for the show.
Pardo joins a cast for the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff that also includes Edward James Olmos and Clayton Cardenas as well.
