The first look at ‘Zombieland 2’ was revealed this week with a new poster, a title for the sequel and a new cast member in Rosario Dawson joining the sequel…
It’s time to nut up or shut up because ‘Zombieland 2’ has officially kicked off production.
The long awaited sequel to the 2009 cult classic will reunite the original cast — Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin — 10 years after the events in the original film.
On Tuesday, the official ‘Zombieland’ Twitter account revealed what we have to assume is the new title for the sequel — ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ — as well as an answer to the popular #10YearChallenge with an updated version of the original poster with a look at the cast in the sequel.

‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ is written by the same team as the original movie — Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese — and the movie takes place from the White House through the heartland of America as the misfit family from the original film takes on all new threats from the zombie and the remaining humans who are still alive in this post apocalyptic America.
In addition to the new poster, Rosario Dawson — best known for her recent work on the Marvel Netflix series such as ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Luke Cage’ — has joined the cast as a new member of the sequel alongside the original four cast members who are returning.
There’s no word yet on who Dawson will be playing but she’ll be jumping right into the fray as filming for the ‘Zombieland’ sequel is expected to kick into high gear next week.
‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ is due out in theaters on October 11.
