The first full trailer for “Midnight Mass” has arrived as “The Haunting of Hill House” creator Mike Flanagan presents his latest terrifying series…
Do you believe in miracles?
The small community on Crockett Island will have to answer that very question in the upcoming series “Midnight Mass” from Mike Flanagan, who is also the creator behind the hugely popular series “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor.”
This new series, which debuts on Netflix on September 24, will introduce a charismatic new priest, who can seemingly perform those miracles but it certainly appears that his gifts come at a very steep cost.
Here’s the official synopsis for the series from Netflix:
“MIDNIGHT MASS tells the tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man (Zach Gilford) and the arrival of a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). When Father Paul’s appearance on Crockett Island coincides with unexplained and seemingly miraculous events, a renewed religious fervor takes hold of the community – but do these miracles come at a price?”
The new trailer gives a brief glimpse at the kind of miracles Father Paul can perform but the toll it takes on the community could be even greater as strange occurrences start to truly haunt the residents of this seemingly sleepy little town.
Also pay attention to the haunting version of the track “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane during the trailer.
