In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to get the turkey ready but there will be leftovers when we review the 2023 horror film “Thanksgiving”….
Back in 2007, directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez created an old school drive-in movie double feature with their horror films “Death Proof” and “Planet Terror” with several friends contributing trailers for fake movies including one by Rob Zombie and another from Eli Roth.
Roth’s trailer not only gained attention but there were almost immediately rumors that he would begin development on an actual feature film based on that two-minute clip. Roth worked on a script and there were several drafts over the years but the film never came to fruition.
That changed in early 2023 when it was announced Spyglass was producing Roth’s horrific take on an iconic holiday turned bloody.
The story centers around a riot on Black Friday that leaves several people dead and one year later, a masked killer dressed like a Pilgrim seeks revenge…
