The new Marvel/Netflix series ‘Daredevil’ has found Matt Murdock’s best friend and business partner Foggy Nelson….
The cast for the upcoming Marvel/Netflix venture ‘Daredevil’ continues to grow with Elden Henson being the latest addition where he will play Matt Murdock’s best friend and business partner, Foggy Nelson.
Henson is best known for his roles in ‘The Hunger Games’ series of films as well as ‘The Butterfly Effect’ where he starred opposite Ashton Kutcher and ‘The Mighty Ducks’.
“Elden plays one of the most important characters in the world of ‘Marvel’s Daredevil,’ and we’re thrilled to see Foggy Nelson brought to life by such an incredibly talented actor,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series, bringing an added resonance to Matt Murdock’s fight against the injustice in their great city.”
Foggy Nelson is a long standing character in the ‘Daredevil’ universe serving as friend and consort to Matt Murdock in his legal practice while sometimes disagreeing with his partner on many matters as well as falling in love with the same woman at one point in the comic books.
The cast for ‘Daredevil’ now includes Henson playing Foggy Nelson, Charlie Cox in the title role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin and Rosario Dawson in a mystery role still to be announced.
The 13-episode first season of ‘Daredevil’ will begin production later this year with a debut on Netflix in 2015.
