The newest installment of the ‘Godzilla’ franchise raked in more than $500 million at the box office and it didn’t take long for Warner Bros. and Legendary to order up another helping of the monster movie franchise.
Gareth Edwards is back to direct the second installment after handling the first film as well.
‘Godzilla 2’ will open on June 8, 2018.
This announcement comes on the heels of the same studio stating there will be a King Kong reboot of sorts with the new film ‘Skull Island’ debuting in 2016 set as a prequel to the iconic character.
