The first trailer has landed for the third season of Banshee where we learn that some sins don’t just wash away….

Cinemax has just released the first glimpse of the upcoming third season of their hit series, Banshee with a teaser trailer featuring the man known as Sheriff Lucas Hood (Anthony Starr.) Titled sins, the trailer shows Hood standing in the rain and squeezing his badge in his hand til it begins to bleed, before dropping it to the ground. The end titles say “Some sins never wash away.” The song playing is “Take Me to Church” by Hozier.

The third season has already begun production and will debut in January. Season 2 (spoiler alert) ended with the deaths of Ukrainian gangster, Rabbit, and the Kinaho tribe leader, Alex Longshadow, while local criminal kingpin Kai Proctor returned home from his release from prison. Deva (Carrie and Lucas daughter) also discovered that Hood is her real father adding another complex layer to the onion in the small and complex Pennsylvania town filled with secrets. And let’s not forget the giant Indian, Chayton Littlestone who will coming into town to wreak havoc.
Hood will have his hands full once again with criminals, past life demons and plenty more.
