‘Fargo’ season 2 has added a huge list of new cast members including Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson and more….
Last year, ‘Fargo’ became one of the darling surprise series of the year, bringing home loads of critical praise and plenty of awards as well. Now the series based loosley on the film of the same name by Joel and Ethan Coen is gearing up for season 2.
Following the casting of lead actors Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, the remainder of the cast has been added with a huge list of names being confirmed on Thursday.
Leading the way is former ‘Cheers’ and ‘Bored to Death’ star Ted Danson, who will land a full time role with ‘Fargo’ in season 2. Also added to the cast on Thursday is Patrick Wilson and Jean Smart.
The remainder of the cast will also include appearances by: Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkan, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Donovan, Bokeem Woodbine, and Angus Sampson.
‘Fargo’ season 2 will time travel back to 1979 to pick up on a storyline teased during the first season of the show.
Wilson will play state trooper Lou Solverson (played by Keith Carradine in the first seaosn of ‘Fargo’) while Danson will play World War II veteran and sheriff Hank Larsson.
‘Fargo’ season 2 is expected to debut on FX later this year.
