Following a critically acclaimed freshman season, ‘The Leftovers’ will return for season 2 this Fall on HBO and the first teaser trailer has landed online.
The new season will see the Garvey family relocate to Texas (which you’ll see in the teaser video) to start a new life following the tragic events that closed out season one last year.
Here’s a plot synopsis from HBO as well:
More than three years ago, 2% of the world’s population inexplicably vanished. 140 million people, gone in an instant. No country, no state, no city was spared, except for one small town in eastern Texas. Population: 9261. Departures: Zero.
The cast returning for season 2 includes Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston, Carrie Coon and Margaret Qually.
‘The Leftovers’ season 2 will debut this Fall although an exact date has not been announced as of yet by HBO.
