Zorro will be tearing through a war torn post apocalyptic world in a new movie that will begin shooting in 2016….
The classic mask wearing, swashbuckling hero Zorro will be getting a modern update in a new film that’s expected to start shooting next year.
Zorro Reborn — a tale of the classic character first serialized in the early 1900’s as a defender of the people against tyranny who will now be re-imagined and reincarnated in a post apocalyptic setting at some point in the future.
No, we’re not making any of this up.
“This has been a 15-year journey filled with ups and downs, but it has remained my passion project over the years,” said Mark Amin, who is on board to produce the new movie.
There’s no director attached to the project yet but they plan on shooting as early as 2016 and then finding a distributor for the movie.
So keep an eye out for Zorro Reborn — although if he pops up in the next Mad Max film, we quit.
