The first footage from Gotham season 2 is now available as a new villain looks to organize some troops out of the looney bin….
Gotham season 2 has been dubbed ‘The Rise of the Villains’, which sounds like a rather ominous title considering the hints received about famous bad guys like The Penguin now running Gotham City’s underworld while others such as Clayface and Mr. Freeze are possibly set to appear in the Batman prequel’s sophomore season.
The biggest of all the bads debuting this year (at least in the beginning) is a multi-millionaire named Theo Galavan, who comes storming into town with his sister, as they look to turn Gotham City into their own personal playground.
In the first clip from the Gotham season 2 debut titled ‘Damned If You Do’, we see Theo (played by James Frain) recruit a few of the crazies from Arkham Asylum including former circus performer turned matricidal maniac Jerome, who everyone assumes at this point will one day become The Joker, as well as Jim Gordon’s ex-girlfriend Barbara Keen, who got way more interesting after she turned into a homicidal killer at the end of season one.
From the look of things, Theo Galavan is rallying his troops but he’s not looking for soldiers.
He’s looking for psychos.
