Hayley Atwell was answering fan questions recently when someone asked if she would like to appear on Doctor Who. Her answer was the best thing ever….
For years there’s been a debate about the long running BBC series Doctor Who and when there might be a little diversity thrown into the ever changing Time Lord character.
The show has bounced back and forth from aged versions of The Doctor to younger actors portraying the role but ultimately the character has never been another race and there still hasn’t been a female version either.
Well, Agent Carter star and all around awesome British ass kicker Hayley Atwell would like the change all that.
When asked recently during a fan Q&A about her desire to possibly appear on Doctor Who, she responded back with the best possible answer.

Now considering Atwell is currently wrapped up starring in her own series on ABC, it’s unknown if she’d ACTUALLY be available to play Doctor Who any time in the near future, but the fact that she wants it and is willing to vocalize it makes her a front runner to land the job in our books.
It’s long overdue that The Doctor’s casting go a little further outside the box and Atwell would be a phenomenal choice to portray the role.
