It looks like Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been deemed a success with a full season order from ABC handed down on Thursday…
With the promoting, marketing and advertising campaigns already put into Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it seemed like a forgone conclusion that the show was bound to be picked up for a full season order, but the final word about the show’s future didn’t happen until a Thursday announcement from ABC.

The show will receive a full 22-episode order from the network with the final episodes for season one airing in May 2014.
The ratings for Joss Whedon’s latest TV effort started out strong, although numbers have dipped a bit in the last two episodes but have still scored strong in the key demographics for 18-49 year old viewers.
The next episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesday at 8pm ET on ABC.
