Veteran star of stage and screen Alan Rickman died this week after a battle with cancer …
Alan Rickman — best known for his iconic roles as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films — died at the age of 69 this week after a battle with cancer.
Rickman was a veteran of dozens of films and stage roles throughout his legendary career.
Several of Rickman’s co-stars over the years penned tributes to him after news of his death was reported on Thursday.

“Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with,” Radcliffe wrote. “He is also, one of the loyalest and most supportive people I’ve ever met in the film industry. He was so encouraging of me both on set and in the years post-Potter.
