American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy says to expect quite a few crossovers from past seasons on the upcoming version of the show titled Hotel…..

One of the most creative aspects of American Horror Story is the way the show reinvents itself every season whether it’s based in a haunted house, an asylum, a prep school or even a carnival.
The faces mostly stay the same, but the settings, the characters and even the time period changes dramatically from year to year.
The upcoming season dubbed American Horror Story: Hotel will be no different with Lady Gaga taking the lead role this year as The Countess, a mysterious and near ageless owner of a creepy hotel called the Cortez in Los Angeles.
While each and every season lives and breathes on its own, creator Ryan Murphy has stated several times that every iteration of American Horror Story is connected and there is a grand plan in mind when the series finally wraps.
Last season in American Horror Story: Freak Show, the biggest crossover took place when Lily Rabe reprised her role as Sister Mary Eunice, a part she first played in the second season of the series titled American Horror Story: Asylum not to mention Pepper — another character from Asylum — was a featured act in Freak Show.
It appears American Horror Story: Hotel will have even more crossovers from previous seasons including a look back at the very first setting for the show when an unsuspecting family moved from Boston to Los Angeles and got locked inside the most infamous murder house on the west coast.
“We do go to the Murder House for one episode,” Murphy teased in a recent interview.
Another character from the past will also appear in American Horror Story: Hotel when Marcy, the real estate agent with listings apparently forged by Satan, pops up again this year while working for the Cortez.
Marcy won’t be the only familiar face from other seasons showing up on the hotel’s doorstep as Murphy says there will be more than a few blasts from the past this year.
“I’ve said before we have a long term plan with this show and things are connected. So characters are connected to different seasons and she obviously is the first. This season you’ll see more and more of that. Characters from previous seasons will come back and check into the hotel,” Murphy revealed.
“So it’s part of a connected universe with I think a very cool thesis statement at the very end of the run.”
Murphy hasn’t said how long he envisions American Horror Story lasting, but he has at least an idea of how it will all end. For now, the huge hit on FX isn’t slowing down because Murphy has also teased that he may end up producing two seasons of American Horror Story in 2016.
First things first, however, is launching American Horror Story: Hotel on October 7 when the new season debuts on FX at 10pm ET.
Keep a close eye on the front desk because it seems there will be more than a few recognizable names and faces joining the show this year!
