To no one’s surprise, ‘American Horror Story’ has officially been renewed for season 7 at FX….
‘American Horror Story’ will live to scare again.
The hugely popular anthology series from FX has been renewed for season 7 according to a press release from FX on Tuesday. ‘American Horror Story’ has been one of the most watched series in FX history and continues to pull in monstrous ratings year over year for the show created by Ryan Murphy.
“The sustained success through six installments only proves how intensely the series resonates with fans,” FX CEO John Landgraf said. “‘AHS‘ confronts our deepest fears with unmatched suspense and style. Each new installment is a cultural event, hotly anticipated for its theme, imagery, cast and twists.”
Murphy has said that he already has an idea in mind for season 7, but outside of saying it’s “narratively strange”, he didn’t release any further details.
Murphy already pulled a huge coup this year when he kept the theme for ‘American Horror Story’ season 6 a secret until the show debuted on FX just a few short weeks ago. Even with the theme now confirmed — ‘My Roanoke Nightmare’ — Murphy has promised a huge twist coming in episode 6 that will throw viewers for a loop.
Meanwhile, get ready for much more ‘American Horror Story’ with season 7 set to debut in 2017.
