This confirms our earlier report that American Horror Story season 4 will indeed take place inside a carnival/circus setting sometime during the 1950’s. We know that Jessica Lange is set to return as is series regular Sarah Paulson, but other roles have not been revealed yet and probably won’t start to leak out until filming and production time gets a little bit closer.
According to a report from EW, season 4 ‘Freak Show’ will take place in Jupiter, Florida with Jessica Lange playing a German in charge of one of the last freak shows left running across the United States. The cast for the new show includes Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Frances Conroy. Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are in talks to return as well.
One name missing from the current list is Lily Rabe, but as we already know she’s set to play the lead in the upcoming ABC series ‘The Visitors’, which could take her out of the running for season 4 of American Horror Story.
What we know for sure is American Horror Story season 4 will debut in October on FX
